Sport Low-carb, high-fat diet made my cholesterol super low

Sport Fitness
I've been eating a low-carb, high-fat diet for about half a year now. About two weeks ago, I went in for my physical and got the following numbers back:

Total cholesterol: 104
LDL ("bad" cholesterol): 44
HDL ("good" cholesterol): 54
Triglycerides: 31

I was shocked at how good these numbers were. I have never had high cholesterol or high triglycerides, but these numbers were far better than anything I ever got back when I was eating lots of carbs while limiting my fat intake. FWIW, the night before my blood tests, I ate a steak and a low-carb dessert full of eggs and coconut flour.

I have heard, however, that some people have found a high-fat diet to increase their cholesterol and/or TG. I'm just curious to hear from other people about how switching from a high-carb/low-fat diet to a low-carb/high-fat diet (or vice versa) affected your cholesterol and TG numbers.

Go do some research on-line. The old "diet affects cholesterol" thing has been hotly debated for over a decade, and its only been about 1 year since they flipped the coin and stated "dietary cholesterol has a negligable impact on blood cholesterol levels".
What they found is most people don't respond to dietary cholesterol intake (i.e. you can eat a dozen egg yolks a day and it doesn't raise bad cholesterol).
Only a small minority of people are 'hyper responders' and end up with an increase in blood cholesterol due to diety.

Too much saturated fat, not enough unsaturated fat, and too much sodium are still things to keep in check for heart health.
