lost 50lbs on my bench????

Ok so after another chest and tri day at the gym, I am extremely discouraged. I don't understand how this happened, and no one can give me a straight answer. A little background and explanation would be suffice...

So I have a bad habit of taking off a few months in the winter. So dark and cold, and my energy levels drop. Last winter I took off from the gym for 2 months and gained 20lbs of fat putting my weight at like 238-240lbs. It was disgusting to say the least, and I started back to the gym while there was still snow on the ground. I went and still am going everyday through the week, and taking Saturday and Sunday off. I started loosing inches off my waist, and gaining significantly on my bench press. My weight stayed at about 235-238lbs. I was ecstatic to hit 225lbs on my bench press. I grew by leaps and bounds, and was eventually ending a bench set at about 275-280 (with a spotter of course). Weight stayed about the same, eventually I dropped to about 230-228lbs body weight, all in all I was extremely happy with the results I made this year. I had been going faithfully all winter and spring, and just about 4 weeks ago I was talked into "taking a week off" to fully heal and come back lifting more. well that's where my problem started.....upon my return the following week I was sluggish and not up to par like I was. My endurance and strength had dropped significantly. "I just need to get back into the swing of it", I told myself. I was having problems putting up 225lbs on the bar. Granted I am now at about 223-225lbs body weight, but today makes the 4th week back, and where I WAS putting up 225 about 8-10 times, I now struggle repping five times. I actually had to get a spot for 235 pounds today and was only able to get it up 2-3 times. WHAT HAPPENED!?!? I am very mentally discouraged and confused right now.
My supplements never changed, and I never went off of them that entire week off.
I take creatine pre & post, 50grams of protein pre and post workout, AAKG powder as well as some amino recovery powder. I take a multi vitamin every other day or so, some flax seed oil in my shakes, and a greens powder.
Before the week off I was still trying to quit smoking...maybe 2 or 3 a day, but right before the break I quit completely.
Like I said I have continued to loose body weight, but would that decrease my bench press? Someone said I hit a platu, but this is more like a grated slope...
Any suggestions please!!! Let me know if I am forgetting any details. I feel like I just lost my dog or something. I mean its not like I was juicing, and now I am not...I dont even touch the stuff...so this is very confusing for me to loose on my bench.

Hi There,
What is your training routines - and did they change?

If I'm reading this correctly, you've lost roughly 5 lbs since your week off? If so, my guess is on your week off you started eating a lot less, and this was compensated for by burning muscle.

Again, it could also be due to you having quit smoking - I'm no expert here, but you could just be having some very mild withdrawal symptoms, which ought to go away pretty quickly.

Third guess would be that you've been on creatine for too long - this is the subject of some debate, but it is argued that the body builds up a resistance to creatine in the long run, so the effects become less noticeable. If so the solution would be to come off it for a while, then start again in, say, a month. However due to the timing this is a bit of a long shot.

Really, you're probably just lacking in confidence. I'd try taking a pump such as No2 before one workout, which ought to really boost your lifts. Once you've seen you can do it once, it will be easier to do it again, even without the pump.
