I'm new to this board so bear with me. I just thought I'd mention the program I am using at the moment. I'm 53 years old, 5'2 and I was at least 40lb overweight. The problem with being a serial dieter for years and yo yo ing back and forth, my metabolism had come crashing down around my ears.
I realised that the only program that would work for me was one that revved up my metabolism and kept me motivated at the same time. I just read a post on here telling people that cutting calories doesn't work......well I don't agree with that because with this program you learn how to trick your metabolism by raising the calories slightly every 4th day then dropping back down again and it works.
I still have some way to go and more weight to loose (it's congregated on the hips and thighs) but I've found this one really easy to stick with as you never go hungry. The only downside I would say is I didn't like several of the recipes so I modified them to suit my tastes. The program is called:Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle. I've added some nice low cal recipes to my blog that I supplemented with if anyones interested in taking a look.
