Hi!
I am a college student and also have to work for around 5 hours a week. This leaves me a little time for exercise (around 30 to 60 minutes per day max). I am a little over 92 kilograms presently. I want to get thinner for obvious reasons. I think exercising regularly will automatically also improve my stamina (which is my secondary goal). I have never been to a gym. I would request the members of this forum to help me in what should I do at gym (and how should I be using the machines, considering that there's no trainer in my hostel).
Here's my usual daily diet (I'm a vegetarian):
- Breakfast: A glass of juice + a banana. An egg once every two days. Bread with butter once in a week.
- Lunch: 2- 3 Roti (bread made of wholemeal flour), occasionally some pasta (less than a cup).
- Evening: Banana shake once every two/three days. Some noodles ('chowmein') or a burger.
- Dinner: Same as lunch. Sometimes also includes a burger or a sandwich too.
I would welcome whatever alterations this forum could suggest.
A regular day involves walking for around three to five kilometers and walking up-and-down the stairs for a couple of floors a few times - no other exercise.
PS: I'm not asking for magic "lose all fat in a week" stuff. I want healthy techniques that help me lose weight and gain stamina, with some tips on how to operate the gym equipment too.
Thanks in advance!
