Losing My Mind Not Weight

 I'VE BEEN RESEARCHING DIFFERENT DIET PLANS-AND FOR THE MOST PART THE ONLY THING THEY ALL HAVE IN COMMON IS DON'T EAT 3 HOURS BE FORE BED. NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM UTTERLY CONFUSED AND I'M A BREAD FREAK-I NEARLY LOST MY MIND WITHOUT IT FOR 3 DAYS-I KNOW I NEED TO SHED 1000 CALS OFF MY DIET TO REACH MY GOAL-SO I DECIDED TO CREATE MY OWN PLAN FOR ME BY TAKING PARTS OF DIFFERENT DIETS TO CREATE MY OWN PLAN FOR. I JUST WANT SOMETHING THAT EXCITES ME-DIET AND EXCERSISE-THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE TRIED A DIET AND I REALLY NEED TO GET ON THE RIGHT TRACK AND STAY THERE-I'M JUST REALLY TIRED OF FALLING OFF. I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!!

PLEASE DON'T SHOUT. It's really hard to read ...
anyway, if you're a bread-freak, then you have an immediate problem because most of those calories are wasted and just turn to fat ... especially if it's more than just straight bread. I'm still in favor of low carb 'diets', but healthy eating is only part of the battle ... you may start to lose weight by changing your diet, but to truely keep a healthy diet, you need to add cardio and at least some weight training.

I agree with CDBOY, eating right is only one part of the equation. On a lighter note, I read a study once that said most people that loose weight and keep it off, followed their own diet plan :) So good luck, we are here to support you!!

whoa, yeah the pink is really hard to read especially when it's all caps.

I agree, try reducing a lot of the carbs you eat. stay AWAY from the bread! Ad for exercising, it's the summer now and you have more room to do different things. I am getting really bored of doing cardio in the gym on the machines, so maybe do that, but also go outside for a run, biking. Rock climbing is a lot of fun, but I don't think it's enough to replace cardio.

I love Rock Climbing...they have beginner walls that are much easier but you get an unbelievable workout! I would recommend starting in a rock gym though...not outside first. I agree w/ everyone here...and believe I love carbs & i love sweets but im cutting them out except once a week and its a killer but i do feel better for it!

yeah, i do some rock climbing at the YMCA near my house. I want to do some outdoor rock climbing. It sounds like so much fun.

I used to be a bread freak too, but I've been doing this for about 9 months, and you absolutely can change it. Sure, it's hard first finding alternatives to bread (especially white bread), but it's doable. I still eat bread nearly everyday, but in small quantities, and it's whole wheat most of the time. It works for me, but you have to find something that works for you, in the long run, because there's no wonder solution to this. Moderation is the key. I know, this phrase is over-used, but it's true. :)

I do the old weightwatchers selections plan, you get a certain amount of servings from the bread group.I get 5-7 servings and that includes potatoes or starchy vegetables like corn.I eat bread and as long as i stay in my daily amount i wont eat too much of it.Everything in moderation ,if it is something you truly enjoy, why give it up completely.Life is too short, just eat a reasonable amount of it. :D

I'm on The South Beach Diet. You sure won't go hungry on The Beach. I'm still stuffed from breakfast, and lunch is just around the corner.
What's so hot about bread? I can take it or leave it. I say,if you must have it,eat the multi-grain or whole wheat kind. At least its nourishing.
Lolli :)

very strange, i have been eating carbs every night either a few cookies or an ice cream cone but somehow have managed not to gain any weight back :p

but then again, i eat almost no bread. maybe 3 servings a week. so i guess im cutting it out and not even realizing it? i stopped writing everything down, im getting too busy now anyway that school just started.

you can also eat right before bedtime, dont believe everything you read. Remember your body is still functioning when you are asleep and therefore burning calories. Just try to eat more of a protein meal before bedtime.

^^^yes i do know that. i even posted about it somewhere on this site a few months back...maybe in the nutrition section.
