Losing last 10-15 pounds? Weight lost slowed down a lot.

So yeah, when I started "dieting" I weighed about 230 pounds, 5 monthes later I'm down to 185. But recently my weight lost has slowed down ALOT.

My general diet involve 30-60 minutes of cardio 3 times a week.

I haven't broke 2,000 calories more then 2 or 3 times in the last 5 monthes. I normal eat 1200-1500 calories.

I work 30-40 hours a week as a gas station clerk. Involves stocking product, cleaning, taking out trash, and running lane. Generally standing 7 or 8 hours a day.

I drink generally over 100 oz of water a day.

I'm not sure what else to do. Thinking I should buy a job robe, even though I'm horrible at it, and give it a try.

Any advice?

Have you tried mixing things up a bit? Your body gets used to a specific caloric intake and exercise regimen. Sometimes changing the routine will confuse the body and get it moving in the direction you want.

For example, you can start doing the 4 or 5 small meals throughout the day instead of the standard 3 meals a day. You can change the type of exercise you are doing from, for example, elliptical trainer to swimming, or from running to elliptical. Even something as simple as lowering your intake by an average 100 calories a day can work (sometimes raising the intake 100 works too!)

The whole trick is to convince your body that something has changed. It will work harder to adjust again and that burns more calories. After a couple of weeks, switch back to your old setup again.

will takeing a short break from working out if you do it regularly help this?

Not unless you also lower your caloric intake... making your workout more intensive with the same intake would be better.

This is all just my opinion, I am not a dietician....

Shorter more intense workouts may help. Your body adjust to the exercise load you put on it so you have to change things from time to time, I would recommend only sticking with a programme for three weeks and then changing it again. Circuit training, interval training or jumping rope are all really good options.

I am exactly where you are. I have 10 more lbs to loose, and I just can't seem to get there. I get soooo hungry during the day, and have a bite here and there that is preventing me from loosing the last 10 lbs....

IDK I have "loose" skin with a bit of fat in it, which I'm hoping goes away sooner or later.

I consumed about 1200 calories today, of courting to most online calculators I should need 2800 calories to give live, plus whatever I need during whatever I do during the day.

Maybe I should up my calories...might help more...
