Losing inches but not weight

Hey everyone,
I went from 272 to 240 and I feel good.
I took a 2 month break and didn't gain any weight.

Now I started up 2 weeks ago again and I lost a few pounds I went down to 236 on like the first week and I lost an inch went from 43 inches to about 42. Last week I am not sure if I even lost weight I weighed myself and it would stay at 235-237 the whole week and even odder is I lost another inch now I am at around 41 inches.

I count everything I eat on livestrong.com and that includes fat and sodium and everything and I was eating 2000 calories a day to lose 3 pounds a week.

So I was wondering if anyone has any idea what may be going on here, I am still obese based on the BMI index i'm 5'9 my BMI is 34.7% and im an endomorph my back is large I used to lift weights like 3 years ago but I dont look muscular, and im 18 years of age.

As for the ecsersizes I do, I do cardio everyday monday through friday, some stairs, eliptical, running, treadmill, cycle. I try to burn around 500 to 600 calories a day when I go to the gym

Muscle weighs more than fat, and with the exercise you're doing it's likely you've gained muscle (which is good!).

I am now in my 3rd week and im still at around 235 I should be losing weight but still haven't im still big but can running and jogging really keep me from seeing the scale move down this long?

Could it be what im eating?
I count all calories but some people talk about carbs and no carbs but what does that have to do with losing weight, I just count calories.
Should I worry about carbs aswell?

Are you male or female?

It's easy to drop fat when you are obese but the longer you are on the journey the more of a challenge it becomes.

And yes, OF COURSE it could be what you are eating.

I am a male, could it be that i'm cutting too many calories I eat about 1500 calories a day, I think I should raise it to 2000.

from what I remember when I first started losing weight I was less concerned with what I was eating, I was eating a little less but still eating lots to feel full but I would excersize a lot and lose 5 pounds a week not counting anything.

You aren't eating enough to keep a sparrow alive.

And there is no need for you to count kcals, thats the first step to an eating disorder.

Drop all processed and refined foods from your diet. Thats a start.

I used to worry about carbs - these days not so much.

I think that maybe there's some mis-estimation with calories and highly processed foods. When the original kCal numbers were calculated, they calculated in the energy costs of digestion, and the foods that maybe didn't get ingested. However, the more processing a food goes through, then it's easier to digest, and probably more of it gets digested... So I personally just try to eat more unprocessed, one ingredient, recognizable items in addition to any calorie counting.

Good luck! :)
