loosing 15 pounds? bike good?

Going on a good diet plan. Less carbs and fats with more protein. But still a few crabs during the day. I plan on drinking a protein shake in the morning. Than around 10:30 eating half a detour bar (15 grams of protein) Lunch will be somethnig with chicken and vegies. around 3:30 eat the other half of the detour bar and than dinner around 6. After dinner head to the Gym to run...Well I want to bike actually. Running hurts my heels (heel spurs) and I like the bike. Will my new diet plan/biking help me loose say 12-15 pounds over a few months? Im 6'1 and weigh around 165
 
i would not do it that way.

i would eat a lot more - soup, salads, low-fat protein.

and i would do weights and recumbant bike (easier on the body).

i lost 30 lbs that way!
