Loose weight through running?

I used to be able to run (and I do mean run, not jog) 5 miles and sprint the last straight. That was about 7 years ago. I would love to get back to it and have added jogging to my regiment. My goal is to loose 20 lbs. through weight training, running and diet (oh, and build back up my endurance too). So for the running part , what do you recomend?
 
Mix it up and set goals. Mix it up by doing hard short runs, long easy runs, and maybe some fartlek running. Be sure to set goals along the way so you stick to it.
