Sport loose and gain weight

ok...im 17 yrs old....im 5'7...about 144 lbs. i weight lift and all and i have lost weight but in the wrong places....as to say i still have a gut and all. and everyone keeps telling me that im gettin too skinny....but i eat like a pig. what i want to knaw is how can i gain weight but also loose weight at the same time? i lift and all but it doesnt seem to be makin me and bigger. so any sggestions or tips would be appreciated.
 
Standard answer, because the situation is pretty standard, check your diet. What are you eating, when, how much, how often?
 
you cant gain muscle just like that ... you need to eat more protein ...
also if you want to lose your gut you need to do running swimming cycling etc'.....
but the buttom line is like cynic side check your diet
 
~ to gain muscle, you need to eat a surplus amount of calories.

to see what your daily caloric needs are, add a surplus amount +500-700 calories.
