looking to get back at it!! Need some ideas

Hi this is my first post. Just a little background, I’m 33 6"1 220 and I have lost about 10lbs over the last 3 weeks by eating better and running and doing push-ups/sit-up ext. I’m a former Marine and was in good shape, i ran a lot and hit the gym about for times a week. When I got out of the Marines I weight about 212 and I won't say I was ripped but my arms chest and back were a lot more muscular than they are now. So my goal is to get back to about 200-210 and fit looking again.

I plan on doing the same routine that I’m doing now running one day then doing push-ups abs on the next for the rest of the month. My first goal is to lower body fat that’s why I have been running a lot. In a couple of weeks I going to get a gym membership but I'm trying to get my self worked up so I'm not sore as hell when I start lifting.

I think when I start lifting I'm going to try doing high rep circuit training 3 times a week and running or cardio on the off days. When I get my fat down I might start looking to change my routine to adding more bulk.

I have been trying to look for a good circuit training routine but I haven’t had too much luck, so if anyone has some ideas it would be great. Also I'm I going about this wrong?

sounds great but remember if you haven't really been doing much exercise then starting exercising every day straight off isn't healthy, its just too much of a shock to the system and even pros have off days, plus if you're aiming to burn fat and NOT muscle then I'd reccomend HIIT, which also does your cardio but you will see the fat litterallly flying off you :)

You should join us in the journal forum and track your workouts/progress. It helps keep you motivated and there is great help to be found there/here.

I would imagine a Marine would do well with some accountability in the journals forum. You have a goal and the means, we will keep you company.
