Hi everyone, Im new to the forums seeking advice about getting a home gym. But before that let me give some background information about myself and my situation.
I'm currently a military reservist inspiring to deploy overseas within the next 2 years or so and I'm looking at getting a home gym. I've ruled out getting membership at the local gym due to my commitments at university and work (and the only army gym i have access to is on the other side of the city). Going overseas would definitely require getting in shape as I'll be carrying approx 90 lbs of gear everyday in the hot&humid environment. Also I heard that people who work out regularly deal with stress alot better and that they're recover faster from physical wounds. In other words a high level of fitness could very well save my life.
Right now I need a home gym that would help me with my muscular strength and endurance. I am not concerned with muscle toning, having a nice body, or losing weight.
My fitness shape right now is okay (for army standards). I can run just fine and my ruck marching is average but could use some improvement.
So the question is what machine is right for me? I've been eyeing the Bowflex Ultimate 2 for quite a while but if anyone has some insights to help me with my situation I would be very appreciative.
Thanks!
