Hi everyone, i have joined weight loss fitness.com because I really would like some like minded support. I started this journey a couple of weeks ago and am finding it difficult to put in the work. I have had job issues but that has been resolved now. My goal has been clear but the path has been cloudy. I am using counselling and hypnotherapy to get to my goal for January 2019....i just haven't started yet. I am happy to share my skills (I am a qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor) in exchange for the right team to car pool with. My partner at home is supportive, but also naturally skinny so getting help or advice from him doesn't feel as helpful as he has never had to try to lose weight. I am 29, weight 180lb and I want to lose 30lb by the end of the year. Anyone similar looking for a buddy? Xx

Hi, I think I'm in a similar situation. I would love to lose 30 lbs but I'm not really putting a time limit on it 'cause I want to do it naturally by just eating healthy. What are you doing to help lose the pounds?

Hi Coolgirl, thanks for getting in touch, glad i'm not the only newbie to this site! I am writing a blog to help keep me accountable, but when i have a bad week it seems a bit more daunting. I have a meal plan that follows if it fits your macros and I want to start doing 30-60 minutes of walking/ running/ rowing a day. I am also using hypnotherapy to keep me focused. What are you doing to help lose lbs? xx

Hey Fat Nav. Well I'm incorporating a little bit of everything: I'm doing stretches and pushups; walking on a trampoline and riding a stationary bike. Not doing too much exercises right now so each program takes only 5 minutes. This is the area where I need some push to mentally coach myself . I have done it before and lost 30 lbs but as we get older we seem to get so much lazier:( What type of meal plan are you doing?

I think the mental barrier is the hardest to break. with walking/ jogging i have found the couch to 5k app really helps. Otherwise it is just to remind yourself of why you want to lose weight as often as possible. i have created a mood board for my desk for this, i am trying to write diary entries every day and self hypnosis at night. That may seem a bit much but i find it very relaxing and i find it really keeps me focused!
I am cutting out carbs for a few weeks, my face has been puffy and i have been feeling really bloated, then i will introduce them back in. i am mainly focused on water as i definitely do not drink the recommended 2 litres a day! What is your meal plan?

Hey Fat Nav, I completely agree with you that mental barrier is the hardest when it comes to follow any meal plan or exercise plan for a certain period of time. We all lose motivation as time goes but one thing that I practice which I learn from Anthony Robbins is that we all are motivated by either pleasure of achieving something or pain of remaining the same. I practice this with every major goal I set, I write down 10 pleasure that I will experience when I reach my goal and 10 pains that I will experience not achieving the particular goal. Most people set some goal and find ways through books and the internet to gather knowledge to achieve their goals but never condition their mind for it.
Also, you have to focus on your water intake, drinking enough water makes your metabolism boost, helps you burn calories and also makes you eat fewer calories.

Hello Fat Nav, It is great to see that you are reaching out to try to find a convenient way to lose weight and trying to stay consistent and motivated. What I have done is incorporate a few morning exercises while getting ready for work. This way it feels you are starting the day off with light exercise. For instance while washing my face and brushing my teeth I will do calf raises. By the time I am done I have completed over 100 calf raises. Another exercise I complete is after I comb my hair I will do 25 push ups. I use the counter of my bathroom instead of getting on the floor. ( I am lazy sometimes.) Then after I get dressed I do 25 more. Those are just a few exercises that I do. Here is a website that I have found helpful. Good Luck!!

I found that when i cut out bread and pasta, the weight seemed to start going down.
I did 40 minutes of walking a day and the weight seemed to fall off even more.
I lost 3 stone in weight over the space of 4 months, i also chose some healthy options like fruit, veg and lean meat.Plenty of foods high in antioxidents and plenty of fluids (not sugary drink) like water and red tea.

Its all about little changes adding up to big changes.

Hello Fat Nav,

I also am going to start a blog about my own weight loss project so I would be happy to follow yours and see how many common problems we might get in our journey.

I totaly agree with you, that the most difficult part is the mental barriers you have to break through to get to your goals. For the last 5 years I always believed that we all have a general idea of what we should eat and how we should exercise, but we just don't do it.

I myself lost 30 lbs in the last 3 years and the last year put a lot of muscle weight on top of that. It was a difficult journey but the awards were really big for me. Not only visually but mostly mentally. When you start breaking those barriers you will start seeing that you have great potential not only in weight loss but in general. All I can say to you stick with it till the end and I think you will gain a lot of it as well.

I don't want to tell you what to do because it is your journey, but if you want to hear my own experience on some problems you might have and how I managed to conquer them feel free to ask.

That is an awesome way to keep track of you mental health, to keep you consistently working towards your goal. My wife an I have tried so many different programs to lose weight, it seemed like everything was just a scam. This was the only thing that offered some sort of guarantee and we both lost around 8 pounds the first few weeks. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hey, I can seriously relate to that. also my main struggle is that I put on a load of weight when I had an accident at work and prolapsed 3 discs in my spine. I am now searching for a safe way to loose the weight without having to do to much exertion. I appreciate that It will take longer for me to loose weight. I have however found this site called her0health.wordpress.com which seems okay. on a whim I wrote in "special offers" in the search bar and found some decent looking diet plans. I am just unsure which of the 3 on offer to go for.

Other than that I suppose the first tip I was given as crazy as it seems was to keep moving around and also do some light house work. I was told that 30 mins of cleaning (dusting, hoovering and cleaning windows) is the same equivalent as a 9 mile walk. I am not sure how true that is but I like to remain hopeful! lol

Hi, i hope all of us can have our desired shape one day, i have started my trainings and watching my diet, but sometimes i cheat with the diet, coz everything looks delicious to me. lol
