Long Road to Becoming a Phreak

Hello all. Most of you probably know me...I'm Phreak. I'm 23, a student, usually work about 4 jobs at a time, and I like to lift....alot.

I have had a tendancy as of late to come on here and start a new thread saying I was back for good, and then 2 days later I disappear again, lol. This time I'm actually back for good, hopefully.

Last time I started a journal I said that I was going to start a cut. That didn't happen. I met a guy that goes to my gym who could actually keep up and ddn't annoy me...so I decided to take advantage and continue the bulk. I'm now sitting around 230lbs with not as much fat as before, but still a fair amount of it. I think that realistically I could cut down to about 195 and be ripped to shreds...so that's the plan. I have no real workout partner now, so I can't really lift too heavy, s I might as well cut.

I'm just finishing up with mid-term exams, so I will have some free time. However, I'm going on a cruise in the beginning of March (which was the reason for cutting last time), so I will have to hope that there is a decent gym on the ship so I can take full advantage of that.

For a routine, I'm looking at 3-4 early morning HIIT sessions a week and 2 regular sessions a week later in the day. This will be ontop of t'he normal weight training of course so that I don't lose any of my added size.

I don't diet, but I'm willing to try this time around. Basically, no fast/fried foods, whole grains, plenty of protein, and keep the calories low. I've never really tried to diet, so since I know you guys, and you know your stuff, please give me some ideas on what to do. If you have any meal plans or anything like that feel free to send them my way.

I will post a rough version of my routine when I'm finished typing it out and hopefully I can get you all to critique it.

I already said it but, I really have no clue what to do for a diet. I don't know what I'm looking at for calorie intake; I live at home, so the food isn't really up to me...any ideas what to do about that? buying it myself is't really an option cause I'm hard up for cash.

Anyways, I'll try to keep this one up to date, and if you've actually read this far...thanks

alright.....day 1, and diet = hardly anything, exercise = nothing.

been a rough day, had a tough exam and studied all night for it. Was stressed to the max, so the appetite was non-existent. I forced myself to eat 3 small (very small) meals so far and I'm making dinner for a special someone tonight, so I'll eat then...who knows maybe I'll get some exercise out of it too, lmao...couldn't resist

anyways, more to come in the next couple of days. thanks for all the replies so far :)

so, today i did some tri's and shoulders, followed by 45 mins HIIT and then 20 mins of laps in the pool.

shoulders consisted of arnold press, raises, shrugs, and rear delt raises. If you know me i shouldn't have to say anything on the weights for those ;) ... if you wanna know, ask and I'll fill em in.
tris consisted of skull crushers, dips, and cable press downs.

diet was relatively simple: oatmeal in the am with some fruit and cottage cheese; snack was cut veggies, flatbread, and a protein bar; lunch was a tuna sammich on multigrain bread (no mayo); snack was 1 cup o cottage cheese and some crackers; dinner was a 6" assorted sub, double meat, honey mustard for sauce; and last is the cottage cheese i'm eating right now.

more to come, please comment away

missed you too kitty :) you need to get me you email so we can talk more often.

and for an update....stressed! lol.

not too much to report for diet, pretty much the same as the other day; switch out dinner for a realllllly late dinner of tuscan chicken penne...not the greatest for me, and late in the day, and take out the last snack of the day.

workout consisted of 45 min on the elliptical at a moderate speed, i'm coming down with some sort of a cold...not too much extra energy
