SlimSadie, when I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid at the end of the summmer of 2004, I was told to lose 25 lbs. And take better care of myself. That's when I started eating light and exercising consistently. I got the weight off and I'm keeping it off, this way!

Sunday the 11th
Kathy Smith's Lift Weights to Lose Weight #2.......since we're moving, I did a lot of packing and shlepping.
Ate okay over the weekend.

Monday the 12th
Kari Anderson's 45 minute body sculpting Angles Lines and Curves tape #1.
Bike later.
And ate regular - my coffee, low fat yogurt, and for lunch - salad with hard boiled egg. Ziti for dinner.
 
Sunday the 11th

Tues the 13th

Karen Voight's 55 minute Core Essentials, with 16 lb weights. Did a lot of walking in the hot sun during lunch, and going to the NYC's free Museum thingy later. So more walking.

Of course I packed a semi-fattening romantic picnic dinner..........
 
The $22 picnic dinner I packed did not meet with favor in DH’s eye so he oinked the whole dessert..when I bought it, the proprieter remarked that “I used to be so much fatter” which shamed me from also buying a crumb cake!!!

Anyway, it was a lot more walking last night than I thought would be, and it was much warmer then I liked also. Oh, and the crowds were crazy and I only got into one museum.

Wed the 14th
Karen Voight’s 50 minute Yoga Focus, both workouts. Have to get to the library today, do my shopping, and then house sit so a LOT of walking today, too.
 
I got him an extra lean pastrami on rye. He expected an eggplant parmigiana wrap, of all things…….I’ll make something like that next week, I guess….
 
Thurs the 15th
Cory Everson's 30 minute Get Hard arm and shoulder workout, with 16 lb weights. Day 4 of the Firm's 5-day Abs. Lots of walking.

Prob. bike later.
 
No bike last night, too much walking and standing.

Friday the 16th

Karen Voight's Abs and Back Pilates tape, about 50 minutes. Bike later if I don't die of the heat.

Oh, and with the move, I've been too busy to eat garbage!!!!!!!!!!!
 
No bike Friday or Saturday. No weights on Sunday, eithter, I did a lot of carrying of heavy bags on Friday and my arms still ached.

Monday the 19th

I finally felt better and did Cindy Crawford's 40 minute Shape your Body workout with 16 lb weights.

Bike later.
 
Actually, i did not bike monday, I was essentially forbidden to, until we're all packed up (we're moving on Thursday the 29th.) Expect all kinds of holes in my program, then!

I also see the backs of my thighs aren't exactly attractive loooking.......I think they looked better last summer, when I ate better (less) and exercised more consistently.......

Tuesday the 19th
Kari Anderson's 20 minute Curl, abs and back. Some shlepping, that counts for something, right?
 
wED THE 21ST
Did Karen Voight's 40 minutes Arms and Abs. Ued 16 lb weights, I only used 10's in the past...........

Did tons of wallking (to Chinatown and back) during lunch, did the grocery shopping after work and carted it all back....and then I had to emergency house sit, walking across town!

And I was def. too busy to eat much of anything!

Thurs the 22nd
My arms are still killing me from yesterday. Did Karen Voight's Yoga Sculpt anyway.

I don't know if I'll bike later, DH forbid me to on Monday night...since the packing is at a fever pitch now! And it takes time to a/c down that room....

I may as well forget biking until further notice!
 
Friday, we closed on the new apt so we were up early to eat and get to our lawyer's office.

We're moving Thursday and with all the standing and packing, and all the moving of boxes and errands to run, I barely have the energy to do everyting the way I'm used to...

So no bike Friday. Saturday. Even Sunday.

I gave in. I washed up my exercise clothes. I packed away my exercise videos. The weights are next.

I'll push myself to walk more in the AM and during lunch. But I think for about a week, I'll be off the program.

But not overeating; I'll still report in to you!

And when you viist NYC, come see me in my new apt!
