OK we'll this is my first post in my diary. I'm a 27 year old mother of 3. I want to lose 90lbs. With a goal weight of 130-135lbs. I also hope that by getting myself in shape I will be able to help my 9year old who is also struggling with her weight. She already weighs 120lbs poor thing. So i'm going to start taking her for walks and seeing what else we can do together to whip us in shape. Wish me Luck

Thanks for the welcome. I've tried to lose weight before and managed to lose 10-15lbs but I keep gaining it back. I'm really frustrated so any tips anyone has are more than welcome. Right now I'm at my highest weight I've ever gotten too and I'm really feeling pretty bad about myself. I've even been starting fights with my hubby for no reason. He loves me no matter what but I just don't like myself so I don't know how anyone else can
 
Good luck with your weight loss! I think one of the biggest focuses in the weight loss industry right now is getting the whole family involved. Let us know how your daughter does!

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone! I decided to try and switch from drinking pepsi to diet 7-up and seeing if that helps at all. I'll keep updating on my daughter and mine's progress. I think part of my problem is I don't eat enough. I was looking at a sample diet in a magazine this morning and couldn't believe the amount of food in the sample menus. I rarely eat breakfast or lunch so that's gonna take some getting used to

You make a good point sometimes we really don't eat enough and it can really hurt our weight loss efforts.eating breakfast is very important b/c it gets your metabolism going for the day.I have found that eating smaller more frequent meals in a day really has helped. i'm now eating 6x a day and trying to get my calories up to 1600 a day.and when you eat "clean" that really is alot of food.

Thanks again for all the support. Sorry I haven't posted much in hte last week or so. I haven't had much time to get on the computer. I haven't weighed myself or anything so I don't know how this week went but I'm really gonna try to start keeping track this week
 
Hi! Welcome to the forum... I understand just where you are at as I am also there. i am always on my 8 yr old about food intake and exercise..I know i drive him nuts but I dont want him to go thru this. If you live a healthy life however it will spill over onto them...as long as you stay driven. I take my son w/ me and my little one when i walk or we do crunch contests on the livingroom floor...whatever it takes to make him realize this is important. Good luck Imv! You can do it...its a slow tough road but the top is gloriouis (or so im told :-D)
