Liquid Protein

Comes from GNC, 3 table spoons = 18g protein

Does this work as good as whey protein? Its a lot easier for me to get down right after a workout.

i found one from IDS which delivers 25g of whey protein with no carbs or fat. seems good to me as i sometimes cant stomach powdered whey and u consume it like a tube shot...cant be better than the shots of alcohol but seems gd enough lol

Your muscles require Glycogen when working out, which comes from Carbs. Your body does not require a heap of protein all of a sudden after a workout. This is a Myth that to many people still believe in.

There is no sudden burst of muscle-making after a workout. Building muscle tissue is a 24+ hour process, so getting Balanced protein throughout the day is far more Important than right after a workout. You only require a very small amount of protein to replace That which was burned as energy . The most important nutrient after a workout is carbohydrates. While muscle repair takes as much time as 24 - 72 hours after a workout, there is a small time slot of a few hours where your muscles are most ready to intake carbohydrates that were depleted during the workout.

Silent, what about quick carbs pre workout as well ?

I see a lot of people taking for example dextrose pre workout, and like a banana post workout. That's good right ? How about 2 banana's ?

Yeah some simple carbs directly prior to a workout is perfectly fine so being as the workout isn't over an hour long. If its over an hour then you risk the chance of getting a "downer".

And 2 bananas afterwards are fine.

I kinda meant, a banana prior, and post workout ;) Thanks for the info as usual :D

Yes I have actually. But we really shouldn't bring evo into this...

Actually if you are going to take a fruit in post workout a banana is the best choice, the riper it is though the faster it will digest into your system. If I take in a banana post-workout I always pop it open pre-lifting then when done I blend up in my shake.

Bad in this case=teh guy your mama warned you about.

And besides...I refuse to feel insulted by a bunch of h4t3rz. Drink yer hateraid and carry on.
