I am rarely irked on this forum, but lately it is getting ridiculous.

Why does everyone assume disagreeing with a post or opinion on here is a personal attack against the poster? This is a public forum, and as far as I know I am allowed to comment on ANYTHING I please therein as long as I am not attacking a member. Just becasue you think you are being attacked does not mean you are being attacked. Does everyone have borderline personality disorder on here? Everything has to be black and white?

I am not going to act like a different person on here to please anyone. I tell my opinions and expect everyone else to do the same. But it seems like everyone else expects you to live up to thier moral standard on how to present yourself and respond.

I love this forum and posting on it. If anyone thinks I am an immature asshole feel free to tell me. I'd actually prefer that you did. Or atleast call me out on it so I can atleast respond and defend my right to have an opnion different from yours.

I don't usually make topics, but I wanted to say something and found that I had nowhere to say it...

I didn't wan't to invade someone elses topic or journal to state my feelings becasue, well, that's being an asshole.

Do all the topics have to come with complete and utter seriousness?
As long as it is how I really feel, can I not express my opinion in whatever tone I feel like?
Does no one have any sense of humor anymore?

Your ok. I don't believe your bothering anyone on here.. But of course I'm still new and don't know the full story.

This is now my 3rd forum I've been on. Last two had extremly rude people. (I was attacked on the second. I was a mod and quit so I could spend more time with my son and the owner posted a bulletin telling everyone i was a hacker.. She was mad cuz I quit)

I think it's ok to voice your opinion. I like hearing the truth even if the truth hurts. But there are alot of people that take things WAYY to far.

I love your posts Kay....they're usually funny and leave me nodding my head in agreement. You're fine in my book..lol

I could usually care less when it comes to my own posts, but I just hate seeing posters (members and mods alike) getting heat for adding in their own two cents.
 
Hey Kay. Don't worry about it. The thing is that a lot of people on message boards automatically equate disagreement with attack. I personally hate that members can delete whole threads just because they don't like the way the conversation is going. The board admin chooses to allow it ... I personally don't allow it on my boards. It's one thing to delete your own post, but when deleting your post means you delete other people's words, that's where I draw the line.

Anyway, not your fault. :)

Here's the brutal honesty regarding this phenomenon...

People on forums won't like you if you disagree with what they say, if you don't give them the sympathy that they are looking for or (and this is my favorite) if you are right.

If I had a quarter for every single time that somebody got offended by one of my posts for no reason at all, I'd have a rectum full of quarters by now (because that's where I'd keep them). People just have soft skin on this forum. Not because they're vagina-like pansies, but mostly because they're immature children that can't handle any sort of criticism. A lot of people on this forum expect you to hold their hand and pamper them with over-dramatic sympathy. So, when you don't do that for them, they get all up in arms and act as if you're an asshole. When, in all reality, you're not an asshole...they're just a fucking idiot.

I could have said cottage but it sounded too cheesy.

As for Camp Anawanna....never heard of it.

No wonder I barely remember it. I was 1-2 years old when it came out. I guess I just seen reruns :|
