Hi everyone

It is nice to know that all of us have one single goal and that is to lose pounds and to live a healthier lifestyle. Every morning, I dread to see the weight machine lying right in front of me. I know it is going to give me the indisputable 58kg and as usual my day will be marred. Therefore, I hid the weighing machine to distract my thoughts.

I never liked dieting. The word 'DIET' is a four letter bad word for me. I prefer healthy eating. Thus, I turned into a vegetarian a year ago.

The problem with is that I am very short. Only 152cm. "I AM A MIDGET!!!!" and 58kg is too much for my frame. As if that was not enough, I am a pear shaped gal. Not.. J.Lo kinda pear-shape.. At least she is tall. I am heavy at the bottoms so I hate wearing pants. I need to lose my bottoms and it seems impossible. I think even NASA will be able to send astronauts to Mars by the time I shed the fats at my bottom.

Problem with me is that I need motivation in order to be self-motivated. Just like you guys, I need the moral support. So.. I have taken the first step into my ultimate weightloss program together with all of you.. My Motto is: "EAT TO LIVE AND NOT LIVE TO EAT"

Hello there! Welcome to this site. I'm also new. I see you're from Singapore. I love going there (and love the black pepper crab:D ). I don't like dieting either...but if we support each other, I'm sure we'll get to our goals.
 
Ya.. Black Pepper crab, Chilli Crab.. all our delicacies...Problem here is that too many good food.

See we both started out by talking abt food first... We have something in common then..he he he. Sure... lets count on each other...
 
Need Suggestions

Well that's the trouble.. Unfortunately... they are all greasy and unhealthy.

My workout schedule is interrupted by my after work.. part time job. What can I do to abt my work outs. I return home at abt 10pm only. I go to work from 8.30am-5.30pm and then 7pm-9pm part time job. In order to lose weight I gotta excercise frequently rite? Weekends alone not enough.. Any suggestions anybody.
 
I had the same problem. I have 4 kids and i work fulltime plus contract out.
I ended up having to make time and started getting up at 6.30 to go to the gym, that moved to 6 and now its 5-5.30ish.

I have cut down on some of my night time hours working to make up the extra sleep - it was nessary. My health is more important.
 
Boy can I relate to the not enough time in the day. I have to wake up at 4:30am/ work out for an hour/ 5:30am eat breakfast and one cup of coffee/ 6:00 till 7:00 read the paper and I also moderate 2 sites/ 7:00am take a shower/ dress and head to work/ around 5 or 6pm I am back at home/ Take another shower/ help with dinner and eat/ around 7:30 or 8 work out another hour, take another shower/ 9:30 I am about ready to drop/ 10 or 10:30 bed time...yea I still got a gut:( ....Mike
 
It's nice to find a site like this one with different ages and hear you aren't alone. I know a lot in here feel just like me and throw the towel in but we keep plugging along..lol. It was kinda of funny when I was growing up...played football, no gut or fat. Did water skiing every weekend and when I saw someone that was over weight all I could think to myself is damn whats the big deal...just don't be a pig and eat all that food. Now that I am there and I am fighting tooth and nail to loose my big gut I see what they were talking about...lol...I guess it's comimg back to me...Mike
 
No Pain No Gain

Oh No! How am I gonna do it, I dunno... This is the worst than going on diet. I rather take a celery stick than wake up at 4.30am. I am doomed. Need money and to lose weight. They dun come hand in hand huh!:confused:
 
hehe thats what i said at first. Start a little earlier than usual then go earlier and earlier. You will adjust and accept it within a few weeks easy enough.
