Legs sore

My legs have been sore for the past four days and I haven't been able to do any cardio workouts at all. I find this weird because my legs dont usually get this sore from a cardio workout, and when they do get sore, it only takes a bout a day to heal. Is this normal to happen every once in a while? Because it is greatly affecting my workout schedule.

i know during track season i have sore legs every day. Not sure how else to get rid of it tho but taking a light job after training and to stretch before you go to bed can reduce the soreness; you might just want to stop running until the soreness goes away.

Most people get sore due to 2 reasons. Over training and insufficient warm up, stretching and cool down. You have to listen to your body look for the signs of over training and to reduce injury you should do a warm up then stretch, do your exercise than do a cool down to get rid of all the lactic acid in you muscle then stretch again. A book that I can recommend for stretching is "Stretching" by Bob Anderson. The book is split into body part and exercise. So after a run I will go to the running section and do all of the stretches.

I made the mistake a couple days ago of not stretching before my running. For 3 days straight my legs were severely sore. If I sat down for about 5 minutes and got up to move, my legs would be stiff and sore as hell.
