leg exercise help

so my legs are unequal meaning that my right leg is way more muscular than my left one. what exercises could i do to correct this? im new to weight training and was wondering if there's anything that i can do and how to go about it. any help would be nice. im mainly wondering if running w/ a weight on my weaker leg would fix this problem.

Running with a weight on one of your legs will cause big problems. There is obviously a reason why this has happened in the first place - maybe fix that.
 
i hurt my leg years ago and never went to physical therapy. now i really want to fix it. is there anyway that this can be done?

A combination of lunges, step ups and to a certain degree squats will help to re-distribute your leg strength. Take it slow at first and exercise both legs equally - your body should catch up.
