I purchased a 3 bean chill from Lean Cuisine. While warming it up I noticed it has 625 mg of sodium  . That sounds like alot of salt. Can you give me your opinion on Lean Cuisine/healthy choice entrees?

Those types of meals are great for lunches, but you're right. That's alot of sodium. That is the biggest problem with those meals. Try buying ones with half the sodium of that one or less. I've read that any food with a 200mg or more of sodium is considered a high-sodium food. Hope this helps!

In my opinion they are ok in a bind, but not regularly. They're overly processed and full of junk that our bodies do not want. I recommend eating much more natural. I t can be a pain to eat more natural and unprocessed foods. However, if on w eekend day you cook up lots of chicken breasts, brown rice and veggies and out the servings in to leftover containers and freeze them you will have meals you can nuke real quick during the week. :)

Everytime I have a "processed" meal like Lean cuisine's I make sure to drink a LOT of water to flush out all that sodium. ;)

Hey Nena! I'm a Lean Cuisine fan too! I often find mine aren't salty enough.

I was just on their site earlier checking out what products they have. I didn't realize they have so many products.

I noticed they had a link for low sodium options.

I'm not an advocate for processed food either, but if you are like me and eat them now and then, this site might help you find something with less salt.

that's alot of sodium for one entree... the recommended dosage for sodium a day is only about 2000 mg.

now that i'm watching my salt intake like a hawk, i find almost everything loaded in salt now. especially pre-made foods & restaurant foods. :(

I'm sur glad I saw this thread. I am due to stock up my freezer for meals for next week's lunches- lean cuisine a day, I dont have much time. I'm gonna check out the sodium thing compared to smart ones before I make my choice

I use to eat them.. but found they didn't fill me up.. and would end up eating a big salad with them.. then wondered why I ate them at all and just ate the salad instead. However.. when I crave pasta they help me not binge.
