Due to my crazy schedule at work and with the kids, as a family, we don't dinner until late. Average time of day is around 8 PM for dinner, followed by relaxing in front of the tv, etc.

Even though I do well in the beginning of the day, does the late night meal contribute to my slowing weight loss, because I don't burn any of it off prior to sleep?

Eating past a certain time or right before you go to bed does not do anything to make it more likely to gain weight as long as the total calories you ear is less than what you burn during the day.
