Sport lacking will power...

ok I found my weakness. after dinner hours... and food.
today i had a good workout and ate healthy. but i decided to rent a movie... and a bowl of ice cream, 4 cookies and a bunch of hersheys kisses later..... i regreted it. I need to know whats someinthing i can snack on at night.. that won't promote weight gain but will make my emotional eating STOP. or what are ways to gain some will power. If i would just stop eating sh*t half the time i wouldn't have to try and get this extra 10 lbs off that sprung up. Its really frustrating me and Im scared to tell myself Im gonna 'actually' do it this time cuz all i do is fail... and its a ****ty feeling. sumone please help me. im goin nuts!!
 
I think the answer is simple. Either don't watch a movie where your hands are free, or do something with your hands while you're watching it. Find a crafting hobby, knit, paint. You're eating out of boredom I think. Keep you're hands busy and you won't have time to eat. :)
 
I use to have the same problem and the best thing to do is to just go give it up completely and after a while you'll stop craving mars bars, mcdonals and pizzas. And if you have doubt about what you're going to eat then don't eat it at all and you'll feel better later on for not doing it.
 
Yea, time will definetely rid you of cravings, even though it's tough. I used to eat about 10 reeses a day because my mom would buy them for me :D . I moved away and haven't had one since...not that I wanted to stop, I just hate food shopping and I am no longer addicted :D .
 
get some pictures of realy big people and when u feell like this look at them and imagine your face on there body !!! works for me ... either that or hire a really gory movie that makes u not wanna eat !!!
 
I used to have the same problem as you. What I did was snacked on health things like carrots or cucumbers. They are very healthy with not a lot of calories in them.
 
I had to start eating more during the day....but of the right foods. Then the cravings for the junk went away. I also needed to have some accountability.

If you are emotional eating, you have to figure out and illiminate whatever is causing it as well. Again.....professional accountability is what helped me go from 165 to 115. I'm 5'6"/33yo/2kids

I have the same problem, so what I do at night after my workout and dinner is drink water like a fish. It fills me up and keeps me from craving food. What you can try to do if you "have" to have something is have a piece of fruit, but not ice cream etc.
 
I chew sugar-free gum and drink water if I'm sitting watching a movie or something. The water stops me being hungry and the gum keeps my mouth busy (stops me wanting to smoke too...45 days now!)

Good stuff! keep it up smoking is the devil. I Just quit smoking pot last week and I feel awesome now. I don't suffer from fatigue or memory loss it's bloody amazing :)
