Within the past few months I have gotten involved in trying to run regularly. I run/walk about 3 miles at a time between 4 and 6 days a week. I try to change up where I run. A couple days a week I run on the treadmill to make sure my distance and time are on track. Usually once a week I run this dirt trail through the woods which is just short of three miles to get a different terrain. The other day I usually run on the pavement around my neighborhood which is nice because it is near to the water. My problem is that I experience some knee pain (usually on the pavement and trail days.) I use a heating pad at night which offers me relief and usually by the next morning I am fine. However, I think I would like to look into getting a knee brace. I don't know much about them though and would like to know if anyone can suggest a practicular brand or type. I am a small framed woman and it is for my right knee. If you guys have any suggestions or think that I may be doing something that could be corrected to prevent this problem it would be helpful.
