i have to make up a fruit tray for my son's kindergarten class and thinking back to the last time i did it for the preschool class, i know there was some fruit that was left over. i think it was the canteloupe and honeydew. i'm pretty sure the grapes and pineapple went the fastest. so this time i want to put just the fruit on the tray that i know is the kids' favorite so that there's plenty of what they like and not all this melon left over like the last time. so for those of you with kids, what is your child's favorite fruit?

I don't have any kids, but I've always loved pinapples, strawberries and grapes. I like the melons too, but they always looks kinda iffy to me because green fruit is usually underripe!

I had to make a fruit tray for a bbq in the summer, I did strawberries, orange wedges, pineapple and grapes... with a light cool whip dip!

I would say grapes, for sure.
My kids love bananas, but I don't see how you could put that on a fruit tray. Maybe you could have a fruit bowl with bananas on the side, besides the other fruit you get.

something like this? only bigger...

In my experience, the sweeter the better. Berries are always popular with my lot (especially blueberries and strawberries), plus pineapple, red grapes, cantaloupe melon and mandarin oranges.

Also strictly speaking a fruit: cherry tomatoes.

well, i wasn't a kid too long ago, so speaking for myself i'd like to say that watermelon and strawberries are the best fruits on a platter. after those would be grapes, apples, and cherries. like, finger food. melons get juicy and bananas are gooey; no one wants to touch those. lol.

As far as I've seen, kid favorites: strawberries, grapes, pineapple, tangerines...

Kid dislikes: cantaloupes, honeydew melon, kiwi (furry fruit turns a lot of kids off...)

My kid likes those tiny clementines you can get this time of year.

She'll eat banana, cantelope, pineapple, pear, peaches, and maybe a few other things, but wouldn't eat any of them off of a tray where they might have touched other fruits. (Oh, the horrors.) She absolutely will not eat apples, strawberries, watermelon, grapes, or other typical kid-favorites.

Hahaha, I was like that as a kid, too. I used to eat everything on separate plates and in bowls so none of it would touch.

Kids are so weird. :D

As a kid, my favorite fruits were apples and grapes. My little brother on the other hand likes cantaloupes.

In a fruit tray for kids, although it isn't a fruit, I'd suggest baby carrots. I looooved to eat those as a kid and at lunch time would eat them any time they had them.

I'm a daycare teacher, my students love green grapes, pineapple, sweet strawberries, and clementine oranges.

They also basically like anything they see me eating, lol, they always want my snack.
