Wednesday 3/1/06

Okay, I want the perfect body. This is going to take a lot of dedication, time, and effort but with time we shall see!! I had a baby in June of 05 so I have done a pretty good job getting the weight back off! Thanks to the South beach diet and being addicted to the treadmill. Now that I am at a good weight but I am still soft from the baby, I want to cut my BF% down!! I drink nothing but water every day and slowly but surely making changes in my diet for smarter choices. I was addicted to coffee now I am addicted to Chai Tea. I have and know the tools, I just need a instruction book to use them!!! I am DETERMINED to have a body I will not be ashamed of when I get in a swimsuit this spring! Any suggestions are welcome. Hopefully soon I will be able to post some pictures. I need honesty and opinions. I do NOT care to see rude or obnoxious comments. Thank you and stay posted!!

Perfect body

Hi Keri,
I must admit you have the ultimate goal .. a perfect body. Good for you. You mentioned that your diet is improving, that is vital. A healthy balanced diet is essential to reach your goal. You need to weight train and do cardio work to get in tip-top shape. I personally think weight training is better overall for you than cardio is, but you should do both. I'm sure I'll catch some flak for that weight training statement, but that is JMO. Do you have access to free weights or dumbbells ? Post if you do and then we can give you ideas on a training regimen.
 
Thursday 3/2/06

Last night I hit the gym a hr. after eating a Chicken wrap w/ pita bread and for a little desert had a whole grain waffle with 1 tbsp. of crunchy peanut butter. I did 10 min or the stair stepper; 20 on the treadmill; and 30 min of strength training.

I really can't spend more than an hour at the gym b/c I work 8-5 and have a 9 mo. old at home that I can’t wait to get home and see. I do have some 10lb dumbbells at home and I always do my palates. My main concentration is my upper thighs and butt. I find it hard to want to work my arms out that much at the gym when I can just do push ups at home or use my dumbbells. Plus to me I feel as if I need to work on my butt and thighs I am very self conscious about them. :(

It is 9:37 a. m. so far I have had a sliced apple and a fruit and yogurt parfait w/ granola and a small coffee.

I have to have my caffeine. This is going to sound bad but I get a killer headache if I don't get it. I usually try to swing by starbucks and get my chia tea fix, but I didn't have time.

Hey Keri, good luck with all your goals. Your little dessert (whole-grain waffle w/crunchy PB) sounds delicious and I might try it once, especially since I've been craving PB lately :D I love crunchy PB and honey together too....

Anyways, keep us posted!

Okay yesterday @ lunch I cheated I ate 1/2 of a cowzone w/ pepperoni and cheese. I really didn’t eat much else but some peanut butter crackers. I know that is terrible but I just wasn’t hungry! The cow zone was very satisfying (because of the fat).

Last night did 30 min on treadmill and 10 on the stair climber. I gave my muscles a little break b/c I strength trained Tues. & Wed. I'll probably finish my strength training for the week tonight and rest this Sat and go for an afternoon job Sunday.

Today I have had a chai tea and low fat blueberry muffin.

Have you tried Tylenol for the headache? You don't HAVE to drink coffee everyday.

BTW I do a lot of videos at home, if you want to check out my diary on this site.

I don’t ever take pain medicine. Just see no need for it. I love some sort of caffeine in the morning. I’m switching over to herbal teas though.

Lunch I had a turkey and ham salad w/ two slices of bacon, a roll and a boiled egg.
