Kadee's Journal of Success...

I am looking at my weight loss differently than I usually do. I am typically an all or nothing person. It is unfortunate because when I diet, if I cheat even a little, then I figure it's over...done...failed. It sometimes takes months for me to get motivated again.

I just had a baby last year and now I am going to get these stubborn pounds off. This time I am taking it day by day and each day will be my success. If I try not to be so hard on myself or look ahead too far, then I think it will be easier.

I started yesterday and lost 3 pounds overnight. Great motivation for starting. I need to start exercising. That, and drinking water, are my biggest struggles. The only thing I would change from yesterday is that I had a slimfast for breakfast and lunch and then I ate a nice big salad for dinner. It was too much. I should eat a meal for lunch and then a slimfast for dinner because it would really work better with our evening routine and probably give me a little more motivation to work out.

I will be excited to see how much I achieve over the spring and summer months. :)

Welcome to the forum :) and good for you, you have a great attitude towards this, i wish you lots of luck with your weight loss goals :)

I'm doing great so far today. It is hot outside and you'd think I would be drinking tons of water, but no. I need to force the water. I still haven't started exercising. I just can't seem to find the time. I know the benfits of walking and used to walk 40 minutes a day and felt great. My muscles do not have the same tone they did then and I really need to get back to it. Hopefully in the next day or so.

Thanks for the welcome smiley. I like your signature line. That's how I try to see things in life. :)

I had a hard time drinking lots of water too when i started. i found that putting lemon in the water helped, i also drank crystal light, and gradually increased the water intake.....glad your doing great :)

I found the most amazing little thing the other day. It is a program called Seven Steps to Healing. I stumbled upon it at a discount store and thought it looked interesting. I am so excited about it because it brings together all the things I have been reading about vegetarian eating and positive energy. I'm enjoying it so far and it's all natural.

that sounds like a really great book! let me know how it works for you
