I just have a few questions
first off, I'm 5' 7" and I do football from the monday school gets out untill nov. when wrestling starts and 2 weeks after that ends I do track which goes until school gets and the cycle starts over
I'm a sophmore at highschool and just want to gain muscle for the sports I do. But my problem is is that I'm 195lbs and the body fat test I took before wrestling said I could get down to 160lbs and while im trying to lose the fat I have, I'm also trying to gain muscle at the same time. At the end of football season I weighed 236lbs and that is when I started eating healthy and drinking lots of water and stuff and so far it has paid off, losing about 5lbs of water weight each wrestling practice and even with gaining it back a little over each night i managed to get down to 195lbs now. I had 2 weeks inbetween wrestling and track season so I started to run with my buddy and jump rope with push ups and sit ups. I would run about 1 1/2-2 miles each school day and probably 500-800 jump ropes and 80 push ups and sit ups along with that but that never felt like enough to me, like it wasnt much of a workout. One day I ran 5 miles and the day after that I did 597 jump ropes in a row (not sure if thats alot but im a big person) and I still didn't feel satisfied. Is it possible to overwork yourself and not realize it? Also, I went to a nutrition store and a person there gave me this pill with caffiene and vitamin b12 in it to help me with energy and to help with muscle growth. A different person also gave me this pill that he/she described as a "fat grabber" with caffiene, red and black pepper, and poppy seed oil.Do I really need these at my age and when I'm still growing? Should I focus more on losing my weight and then getting muscle or turning the fat into muscle (by this I mean just lifting weights and using that as a primary source of excercise)? And these protein supplements I see alot of people my age taking, is that ok for me to take as well? I know that it shouldnt be a primary source of protein but would it help? I just dont want to do anything to hurt myself and I want to gain the maximum out of everything I do.
