Guys,
I just ran my first marathon at the start of the week - Monday 7th. It was the Belfast City Marathon, N. Ireland.
I only started running in Sept 2006, and was only originally targetting a 10k, which I did in Dec 2006. I only decided to go for a marathon in late Dec, and started training 4 times a week in Jan 2007.
Everything was going well until St Paddy's Day in March 2007 when I badly sprained my ankle (you don't even have to ask!) and was out of action for almost 2 weeks.
Despite not running for very long, and injuring myself half way through, I finished in the respectable time of 04:07:01.
Just goes to show - anybody can run a marathon if they put their mind to it!
Peace,
Sean
PS: This is me on the left at around the 23 mile stage!
