I've been reading through some of the threads on here and I think this maybe the motivation I need to finally drop my extra weight. Im looking to lose 23 lbs. I am going on vacation to the beaches of Australia in September, so I would like to lose at least my first 10 lbs by then which is just under 1.5 lbs a week. I am looking forward to the challenge. Any motivational tips would be greatly appreciated.

the beaches in australia were amazingly beautiful... and clean.. you've come to the right place for support and encouragement, and i'm sure you'll find lots of motivation as well for your upcoming trip...
 
Thanks for the welcomes and the support, I really appreciate it. I have been doing well the last couple days eating wise. I dont even get hungry and binge eat like I have a habbit of doing. There were times when I know I ate to the point where I felt sick, but couldnt stop shoving food in my mouth. Work has kept me busy and I think that has kept my mind off food, which helps. I also have an awful habbit of having to clean my plate every time I eat, and I usually put too much on it to begin with leading again to overeating, but not in the last few days. Its so silly that Im so excited about changing my lifestyle, I feel like Im taking control of myself. I still need to work in more exercise though so I dont lose all muscle.
 
Welcome, Ella. Eat lost of healthy food in small portions, drink lost of water and exercise. Good Luck! Oh, and always eat breakfast.
