Hi everyone, my name is CJ. I have been debating on how I should approach my weight loss journey, and this seemed like a good first step. I've been struggling with weight for the majority of my life. I'm 26 now, and it's past time that I shed the weight, and become more active, much more active. I'm tired of trying to find clothes that fit properly, and always worrying about how bad I look in them. I'm married to an amazing woman, and we have a 2 year old together. I need to loose the weight. If not for me, then for them. I'm getting ready to graduate with my AAS in Web Technologies, and I love cars. But it's a huge problem if I can't even fit in them...

Anyways, that is me in a nut shell. I'm planning on making a diary/journal here soon, so we'll see how well I do this time around. Peace!

Started in the same situation as you, one year older though. You can do this, bud. Set realistic goals, don't obsess over the scale, find something you enjoy and can stick with, and the rest falls in place. Welcome aboard.

Thank you for welcome as well as the encouragement dude, I genuinely appreciate it! I didn't mention it in my first post for some reason, but I'm somewhere in the 450lb range. The last time I was on a scale was November of last year, and I was sitting at 430 something. I know I've gained more since then, but I don't know exactly how much. I've never been this heavy in my life, and it's scary. The first time I actually committed to losing weight, I started around 380lbs and was down to 310. I felt so much better, I could run (slowly) without feeling like I was dying. Clothes were fitting comfortably, I had more energy, and just felt better in general. I want to get back to feeling like that.

It's ok, Xeroevil. One step, one day at a time. You're going to get back down to 310 and eventually even more to your ideal weight. It'll take some time, maybe over a year, but you will do it. Remember how those things felt, think of your family, all the motivation you need is right in front of you. If you're ready for that change, then change is coming. I believe you can do this. Lifestyle change. Let's get you rocking and on to a better life. What is your first goal and what is your plan?
