Sport Just had first cheal meal

And I feel so guilty! haha I haven't had one in about a month and a half since I first started eating clean and cutting.

What is the benefit of having a cheat meal? Will it help your metabolism?

However, this was my first cheat in over a month. And in the article, it states the leaner you want to be, the more frequent cheat meals.

So should I be going once a week for a cheat meal? I just don't want to overdo it, that's all.

(I'm VERY strict with my clean eating!)

A cheat meal once a week or every other week will keep your body guessing, not to mention keep you sane. Just don't go overboard. Eat what you been craving for the week.
 
That's the thing, I don't need to cheat. I can go on forever without a cheat meal. I was going on 2 months without one.

The only reason I did it yesterday because I read it's best for your metabolism to get thrown off once in a while for maximum effects after.

I'm thinking once a month also Joey!
 
I've been researching this a little, and I've come to the conclusion that I don't think cheat meals are necessary at all. I don't buy that garbage about once-a-week cheat meals spiking your metabolism. Once-a-week cheat meals are for people with no self control. I've gone over 9 months without one, so it's definitely possible to go a long time.

If you can control your cravings, I would say keep going. But if you are going to cheat, make it short and sweet, then move on.
