Wow, I about fell out of my chair. The place where I work hires you on at a certain level. They send your work experience, education level etc. to a "board" to see what you should actually be paid. Mine came back today and I ended up with a salary increase of $10,899/year. How's that for an early Christmas present?

Why don't you come up to Calgary? Here's a wage scale from last year:
Based on a 40 hour week, 52 weeks a year (with no shift differential pay), the lowest wage would be $57,803.20.
Average wage: $66,206.40.
Highest wage (and this is negotiable): $80,537.60
Although this is in Canadian dollars
