just bragging

I'm just gloating about having almost a full terabyte of storage on my desktop at home.

I'm at 900gig right now, or .9 tb. Just need 100 gig more to break the threshold.

*makes 'woof' noises like Tim Allen*

this way you can store your entire self on your computer! :D

Im also network administrator and a Computer Tech, and I gotta say "HOLY CRAP!" That's one awesome PC you got there, It costs a lot but I'm sure it's well worth it. Don't know why you'd need so much Hard disk space.:D
..... I gotta admit I'm a little jealous :drooling1: :drooling1: :drooling1:

Alot of old and new games :)

Originally I had the two 350's in raid, then my sons get a bright idea (this past Christmas to purchase to 500's, so I have all this space to put all the games (and other software) on :)

The hardware I get at cost (and sometimes free) from a business owner I know who owns a PC retail establishment, since I do work for him time to time :)

Yes, the extreme CPU and Nvidia cards are expensive. I got one of the Nvidia cards free though doing some work for him.

The Nvidia Ultra is worse though.

I just overclock the GTX; its near ultra speeds anyway........;)

I like the Senn's but I have been looking at some high end Grado's. I have to have some head phones with some kick in them since I cant use (the klipschhorns dual set nor the klipsch promedia that often without neighbors complaining). The 600's have a high OHM so it takes a bit more power to run them; however, the 595's are only 50 ohm and they can kick a little bit which much less power. I use a quality head phone amp as well on the pc. I got the 600's last year for Christmas, and the Klipschorns I have had for several years and wouldnt part with them for any speaker on the planet for home use.

What about moore's law malkore. Isnt it true in 20 years or so the silicon chip will cease to exist, and maybe we'll move into quantum computers.

They've already been able to calculate 5 + 3 with only 5 atoms!

That would run any game on full graphics settings for the next 2 years i imagine ....and it also would of cost a arm n a leg to pay for

Umm not if we have a computer with millions or billions of atoms. Do you even know how advanced it would be? it would be smarter than us and capable of unlocking any CIA code easy..

Hey Woodt! Glad to see you posting, my friend! :) ROCK IT! :)

I also build both of my son's PC's and there not lacking either. I get to do it for near half the cost, and its a blast to play network games together and cut one another up (my son's are NOOBS, he, he :) ), even though momma gets sort of irritated with the THREE boys :) getting loud and stuff, lol.

She gets over it.

Believe it or not "Crysis" can give it some complications at higher resolutions.
This game can be a beast and very demanding, but is one good game.

After the superbowl today, my sons and I are having a lan party, and the old man is going to have a "party on my nooooob son's" HEHE. :)

I think we decided we are going to play: COD 4 and UT 3, but we may play some others. We can get pretty loud and wound up.....its very competitive. LOL.........great fun.

Wouldn't trade it for the world having some quality "ribbing" with my sons. :)
