junk food ads and cell phones?

was watching the news and they say kids are even being targeted through their cells phones with these junk food ads! thats so weird, i have never seen an ad on MY cell phone, have you?
 
nope... hmm... interesting... maybe the ones with web based browsing?
 
no food ads here. That would really suck. I hope they don't get into my phone, it's already bad enough with magazines, TV, billboards, radio and all the other ways they get to us. From a marketing perspective, it's a great idea. But I would hate to see a cheeseburger and fries looking at me when I pick up my phone. no no no! Say it's not true.

This is random I know, but man, I can smell my neighbor cooking up something and it smells goood. It's coming into my room! haha I need to put a towel under the crack of the common door.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if these kids are getting junk food ads, but its probably through some sort of subscription that they've sign up for, like those ring tone services who just want to bolster their profits. Just sending out unsolicited text messages or something like that would get a lot of people mad because a lot of carriers don't have free incoming text messages, so people would basically be paying to be annoyed, and then they wouldn't want to buy their product.

Or at least that's how I can think of it, because I've never seen that myself either.
 
if my phone company starts to send me junk food ads, im going to personally phone them up and give them a peice of my mind. :D

im not having that rubbish on my phone distracting me from my diet. *nods*
 
hmm yeah it has to be the ones with web capabilities. :confused:
