So I've started juicing lately and I have to imagine I'm putting a whole load of nutrients in my body. I'll throw beets, celery, broccoli, carrots, herbs, ginger, apple, all into one juice sometimes even.
My question is, I have the Jack Lalanne juicer which is a centrifugal juicer, meaning it spins very fast in order to make the juice, thereby creating some heat.
I've heard that the heat created by the fast spinning can kill some nutrients. Is this true? And if so is that much different than using a masticating juicer which just presses the fruits and veggies so hard that juice comes out?
By the way, I'm not on a liquid diet or anything. I just make a juice a day to go along with my other 3 meals.
Thanks for any help.
