Sport Juicing..I'm a believer!

Sport Fitness
When I started my weight loss, I decided to kick start it with doing a juice cleanse to help reset my body. I wasn't really sure about it because I've heard both good and bad things about juice cleanses, and it also seemed really fad-ish. I had several problems: I had constant constipation, had really bad acne ( I was 19 at the time), over weight, and just never had much energy. I started off with replacing 2 of my daily meals (I was eating about 5 times a day) with a cup of fresh juice, and once I felt comfortable enough, I went for a 3 day cleanse of replacing all my meals with juice. I know the recommended time is 7 days but I had a labor intensive job at the time and didn't want to put my body in shock. Once I was done with my cleanse , the results were amazing.

-I found that my appetite had gone down some
-My food cravings changed ( I actually CRAVED fruits and vegetables!)
-I felt lighter and had tons of energy: this motivated me to start working out.
-It relieved my constipation, I went from 3-4 days without going to being able to go daily.
- My skin cleared up and had a healthy glow, and my hair became soft and shiny :jump1:

The only thing I will say about juicing is that if you decide to do it, you have to stay on top of it. I would say drink a cup every 2 hours just to keep your glucose level stable. Also, try planning around some days off to do the cleanse and try to avoid any strenuous activities.

My favorite recipe is 1 orange, 2 carrots and 1 ginger root. Nomnomnom..YUMMIES! :drooling1:

This juice is packed with vitamin C ,beta-carotine, B vitamins and much much more.

This juice recipe book is so informative and is packed with ideas. One problem most people face while juicing is running out of ideas, so a recipe book is an absolute must! Happy juicing =)

Thanks for sharing your experience about juicing. I have read about the many benefits of juicing and I want to give it a try. Your post about it greatly encourage me to start really soon.

Thank you for sharing - And congratulation.

About the blender, I have a Phillips, which is great - It cost more than the average, but it does the great - And I have a Phillips "juice machine" This can make anything fruit or vegetable to juice - Its perfect.

I want to not feel as though people are judging me for all the wrong reasons when I leave the house. I want to be able to leave the house on my own without all the anxiety that I have now. I want to one day be able to go on rides at amusement parks with the kids we will have one day. I want to go to an amusement park and not have to worry about if I'll fit or not

I just started juicing a few months ago. I didn't do a fast but I wasn't getting enough veggies. I started after watching "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" by Joe Cross. Kale is one of the healthiest things on the planet. My favorite is:
2 leaves of Kale
5 celery sticks
2 green apples
1 orange
1/2 lemon
1/2 cucumber
