Haven't had a good workout in a LONG time- we don't lift in Track :/

-Lost alot of strength, I'm trying to get serious again but its really difficult with high school about to be over and what not.

Height: 6'2
Weight: 184 lb
Bodyfat: 12-15%
Discus: 66 ft
Shotput: 29ft
Diet: Absolute crap

Today I had Discus practice.

We just threw the Disc around for a good hour and half. My stats have improved ALOT since I started working on my technique. I worked on my spin and now I'm throwing in the 80-100 ft range- doesn't count though till a meet so my PR is still at a crappy 66ft.

After throwing, we had a workout with medicine balls- mostly explosion type stuff, some lunges, sitting and holding the ball against a wall. Legs are actually pretty beat from that.

Diet is a bit better. I'm not cutting or bulking right now just maintaining my weight for performance.

Or just a bunch of water weight.

More track practice today- on the hunt for throwing shoes.

Also gonna lift upperbody today.

Notes-Discus technique got alot better today- I'm doing the spin slower and then exploding and extending the hips at the end.

You into throwing discus? Did I miss something? when did this happen?

Happened around mid-March at track trials- I did every event and started falling in love with throwing- specifically Discus.

Upperbody workout tommorow.

Another thing- today I bought groceries for myself for the first time- kinda odd walking around with a grocery cart.

I got

24 eggs
8 cans of Tuna
13.11 pounds of chicken
4 pounds of peanuts
2 loafs of wheat bread

This should last me 2 weeks and then by that time I'll get another paycheck from my job.

So I'm all set.

O and I'm cutting btw- just gonna carb-up on days that I have track meets for energy. If I cut right I should be 6'2 170 pounds with 7-8% bodyfat. A little on the small side but I was advised by alot of people to just get ripped up before basic training so I can move my bodyweight more efficientely (carrying people, pushups, situps, pullups, running, drills). I can't wait to have a 6-pack cuz I know I got one and I will just need 2-3 good months of determination to get there. I'm currently 192.

My diet was like 85% clean today so thats an improvement- would have been perfect but my older brother made this cheese-bread for his 29th birthday. o lawl it was so good.

Notes
-failed 5x5 on 155 bench press- use to do way more; I took 1 minute rest in between sets. I'll keep same weight and see if I improve next workout
-backwork was alright.
-Light on legs- I will slowly increase this until I can get a decent leg workout without hampering my throwing practice/performance
-yeah had to work the biceps lawl.
 
Had the meet 2 days ago. Hit a personal best at 96 feet! ;) Thats a 29 foot improvement so far. Hopefully next Tuesday I will hit the hundreds- I just got my throwing shoes in today. We have 3 meets next week.

Also chest/back are sore- as for my cut I'm not checking my weight till May 9; I'm only weighing once a month.

Little work with dumbbell curls, tricep extensions, some ab work today and some lunges. Don't wanna make my legs too tired cuz of all the discus throwing but I gotta work them enough to maintain leg strength.

Also practiced my discus release for about an hour. I'm like in a crazy mode right now of getting better and better every second. Feels good man; cut is going well.
 
Yesterdays Meet I only got 88 feet; kinda mad I set a PR of 96 feet recently I thought I would break it again.

Another meet tommorow- gonna work on my technique: My Discus release is fine (technique wise) theres just no velocity coming off of it though; I feel no power.
 
NEW PR!! Got 102 feet! Yeah ;)

I came in 5th out of 22 throwers- was 9 inches away from placing 4th which would have gotten points. So close.

Actually I came in 4th- The guy who kept the records counted up the scores wrong lmao.

Today was a big meet in Annapolis Maryland with all the big boys. Needless to say our team got crushed. It was a Discus Relay and was like:

Our best thrower got 105 feet (usually gets around 120 feet)
I got 93 feet (lower then my New set PR)
Our worst thrower got 88 feet

and they added that up. We got last :(

At least our worst thrower set a PR so I'm happy for him.
