So ive been thinking about losing weight for a while and over the past month ive really started to take it seriously however i need help on knowing the best way of doing things. as it stands im doing Intermittent fasting and portion control aswell as exercise. When i started last month i was at 135KG and im now at 125KG.

Age: 19
Sex: Male
Height: 6ft
Weight 125Kg

I currently only eat between 2PM and 10PM and try to limit to lunch and dinner. My usual lunch consists of sushi or a sandwhich of somekind and dinner tends to be a home cooked meal or the odd fast food adventure with a friend. ive upped my intake of water and have significantly dropped my intake of fizzy drinks.

For exercise i try walk atleast 10,000 steps a day which is done by a 6KM walk along side my normal daily routine. This is accompanied with exercise like pushups, planking, sit ups, lunges and squats. i try do the light exercise for 15 minutes a day atm as ive only just started working that into my routine.

At the moment im studying at university and also doing a food delivery job on the side so balancing everything can be quite difficult. please help me with some tips and way to improve as im hoping to lose as much weight as i can and finally be happy with my body.

Hi, Josh & welcome to the forum. It sounds to me like you have this and you have a good balance with your busy schedule.

Hi Josh!
Welcome to the forum :)
Nice job on losing 10Kg! I think the biggest thing I've learned is that it's not a race - it's a steady march, some days better than others but it's still a day at a time!

Hey Josh, read this post just now, well done on the 10kg, thats a huge accomplishment in a month even to my standards! I'm curious to know how you've been going the past month and a bit? Biggest challenges, easiest things, hardest habits to overcome, etc?
Keep smashing it!

Hey mate, well done on the achievement thus far.

Weight loss or fitness journeys are very personal. While there are some techniques that work for many ultimately far and away the BEST technique/method you can employ is the one you will stick to. My 2 cents worth would be simply try to maintain a healthy lifestyle. A healthy weight will come which will be very different person to person. Don’t get sucked into the world of BMI etc etc. you will know when you’re at a healthy weight. The number on the scale is just a number. It means NOTHING really.

If you can maintain your current routine great stuff. Be prepared to plateau though as weight loss is never lineal. You’ll lose then gain then lose then nothing then gain then lose. Ultimately if you’re eating well and exercising well you WILL lose.

As M2M said it’s not a race. Take your time and learn healthy habits.

ANYTHING WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING RIGHT. the longer you take generally the more you learn in the process.

Good luck!

Hi Petar, ive been doing okay after the past month. im now down to just under 120Kg, id say one of the hardest habbits to overcome would be fizzy drinks. ive slowly started to change to just water even if im going out for a meal or something like that. recently ive been very busy with uni and work so havent been able to exercise as much as i wanted to.

however im planning to join a gym soon and start doing cardio and weights. and now that ive got the two weeks off im going to go back to exercising.
