Jogging vs Sprints

Which is better and burns more fat and cals and carbs and stuff? IF you do sprints, like suicides or 200 yrds. Or like jogging a mile or two? Thanks. I'm really trying to trim down. Im 5 '7 150 lbs. My waist is 33 inch but i wear a 30-31 (strange). Im a guy just to let know. I really wanna trim down a lot this year and if you guys have any suggestions or work out plans, please send them. And to give you my fitness lv, I run a mile in about 6:50.
 
I find sprints to be more benificial than running just for miles and miles. Short sprints like 60-200m are very benificial, but to become more lean longer sprints 150-400m are the best, they produce more natural GH during your run and GH is a major factor in keeping body fat low.
 
Extensive exercise would help out a lot. Why not mix the two in one workout. Run one or two miles and constantly change the speed of the exercise.
 
Your best bet is doing fartleks (Speed play). Mixing it up is the key to all round cardio-vascular fitness.
