Jog..walk..jog..walk

If youre jogging 4 miles, how bad is it to take about a 1minute walking break half way through (but not stopping). Do you have to constantly run?
 
i guess not but if its that short do you really need it??
 
you be suprised how much that one lil minutes boosts your endurance up again, i do the same thing as you

i run 30 minutes, 2 minute break, 30 minutes, 5 minute slow down period, then im done

as long as your heart rate stays up during that minute, your dandy
 
ah k..im only going on about 3 mile jogs at the moment becuase I haven't jogged for months.

So that shows that I do have to stop, megan ;) Well I will when I start to run further, maybe about 5-10 miles
 
it is good if you are starting...but for long distances its best to keep running...slowing down willl only unmotivate you to go slower...
