Jessie's Diary

I'm new to the forum. I'm currently at 174 lbs and about 5'6". Last summer I went on a diet of eating 500 calories less than I normally did, which was 1200 calories. I did really well on the diet and lost about 10-15 lbs. in 2-2 1/2 months. I exercise every other day if not every day, by just walking for 30 minutes.

Now it's a new year and I moved to Texas with my boyfriend and gained all the weight I worked so hard to lose back, by mainly just getting into my old habits of binge eating and eating fast food. I bought a bottle of that One-A-Day Weight Loss Vitamin that I'll start taking tomorrow.

My goal is to get down to 140-150, preferably by the summer, but if not by then, oh well. So mainly at this point I need motivation because we're currently living with his mom which is kind of hard because she cooks for us a lot.

So as of now, my journey begins.

Today went very well. :)

Breakfast: Granola Bar - 180 cals
Snack: Graham Crackers - 120 cals
Lunch: Yummy salad with herby chicken - I'm guessing about 150 cals
Dinner: Baked Potato with Sour Cream and Butter - 200 cals
Snack: Bologna Sandwich on Whole Wheat - 280 cals

Grand Total: 930 calories!

I felt wonderful about myself today for doing so well. I just need to start drinking water... if only my lovely mother in law would fill up the Brita pitcher when it was out... errgh.

When I was on the diet I usually ate more than that... so perhaps once I get back into the routine I'll eat a bit more.

Breakfast: Reduced Fat Blueberry Coffee Cake from work
Lunch: a FEW Fritos

The rest I can't remember... but I know I did pretty decent. I really need to start walking, because lately I haven't had the motivation to. But now since I fluctuate between 176 and 178, I will. Bleh.

I've been doing well with this diet. I'm getting my eating habits down, and keeping track of it on paper. I'm going to get a notebook and record everything that way I can access it at anytime a whole lot easier.

I got The Body Sculpting Bible for Women[\b] yesterday from the library, and I've read 60 pages or so and it is wonderful. I can't wait to finish so I can start! Hehe. :D

sounds likeyour off to a great start! Keep it up- we're all here for ya :)
