Hi, I just joined the forum today, and I'm looking forward to getting and giving support to anyone who may need it(heaven knows I do!).
I'm a 17 yo female, about 5'6" tall, and I currently weight 125 lbs. I am trying to get back in a healthy routine of diet and exercise. At the beginning of this year, I went totally crazy and was eating anywhere from 300-500 calories a day and exercising 2-3 hours daily(dancing and aerobics for about 2 hours and strength training for 1 hour). In a little over 2 weeks, I had lost 15 lbs and weighed 110 lbs. I was very happy with my body and could still see some room for improvement, but at that point I couldn't stand it any more. I woke up starving every morning, and went to bed hungry every night. So, I went too far the other way and ate any and everything I wanted. Within a few months, I was back up to 130 lbs. Now I am back to 125 lbs, and I'm hoping to eventually be back at 110 lbs., but I want to do this the right way this time, changing my habits and losing the weight slowly.

Hey, and welcome to the forum!

As far as I can tell...you're underweight. But that's totally disreguarding body type, so that's just a guess.

We're all here for you, though, and you can count us to give you support! What is your plan? Are you going to be weight lifting, for toning, and/or doing callesthenics (sit ups, push ups, pull ups...), or adding some cardio?

welcome! I hope that we can help you with your goals and getting to the place where you are healthy and well =)

I have to admit I had the same reaction as cmstewart, but it does depend on body type, and where the weight is, and whether that weight is muscle or fat. I think something that would help - especially if you have some concerns about how you look would be working to add to your muscle, more than worrying so much about losing weight. Losing fat yes - but in the end, muscle will weigh more than fat, so you may not be at the "right weight" but you will look awesome and definatly have the confidence that you look amazing (not that you don't right now!)

let us know how we can help... it is great to include here what foods you are eating and what kind of exercising you are doing so that we can help you find the plan that works best!
