Hi There!!

Starting my diary by answering the questions!

Answer these questions before starting your diary.

-- How much weight do you want to lose?
I currently wiegh 213 lbs. I would like to get down to 160. I'm 5'9, so that would be a great weight for me.

So - 53 lbs total I would like to lose.


-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
1 year.

-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?

I am starting weight watchers - so, low calorie for me. I would like to have mini goals set, and I do in my signature.

-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?

Weight watchers, the internet, cooking more healthy meals.

-- How realistic is your goal?
I think it's very realistic for me. I would need to lose 4.42 lbs a month to get to my goal. Not bad.

-- When will you start?

Over a week ago :D

Hey =] I think you'll find the diaries here very usefull. I just started posting here a little while ago and my diary helps me alot!
 
Hey Jenny--Keeping a diary can be very useful. Its also great that you have nice sensible long term goals. Those kind of diets are easier to keep the weight off with and a lot easier to keep it off with.
 
I had my first informational WW meeting - no weigh in yet - I paid though. I'm so excited to start!

WW works for me - I've counted pts without the meetings... I hope that the meetings help keep me in check!!

Welcome to your diary. I think you're goals are absolutely realistic and reachable in your time frame.

I know a few people who have been really successful using WW. I hope it is for you too.:D
 
Jenny, welcome to the diary and the forum! :D I do WW as well, and have found it very successful. Your goals and your plan sound very sensible and definitely doable :D

Thanks everyone!!

Last night I went to my in laws, and they had chinese food. I made sensible choices at first, and then kept picking (my MIL has a habit of leaving food on the table to get rid of it better) then, I had a piece of cake for desert. She tells me "there is no sugar in this at all" and then later says "There is 3/4 cup sugar in this" What the... I don't like to eat at her house because she always tells me things are healthy, when they aren't!!! I mean - the picking after dinner thing was my fault - but I would not have eaten that cake knowing there was sugar in it. She talked me into it saying there was no sugar in it.
 
Down to 211 YA!!

I love veggies. I bought all kinds over the weekend. I got some zuchini, summer squash, eggplant, radishes, cucumber - mmmmm - I need to hit a farmers market!!!

Tonight's dinner - will be Talapia with grilled veggies. YUM!
