Hi Every-one,

I'm new having just joined on Tuesday 11th March 2008. I'm currently
waiting to start my eating plan, as soon as I get it hopefully it will
be on Monday.

I'm a 41 year old mum of two girls 4 and 19 months, residing on the Gold Coast
Queensland. My weight has crept up over the past 10 years due to
a lot of partying in my day as we do, then in the past a back injury has
contributed to weight gain and also an under-active Thyroid, but also I chose
to let myself get to this weight and now I choose to get rid of it once and for
all.

My current weight is 96.35kg I am 160cm (5'3) and my weight I would like
to go down to 65kg and see how I feel maybe less than this, but first things first, I need to start.

Thanks Cate for your help and sorry for using Annie's diary.

Cheers Jenni

Hi Jenni, Thanks for sharing & I'm sure Annie wouldn't have minded! It shouldn't take long for the program to arrive & then you'll be well on the way to reaching your goal, cheers, Cate.

Welcome Jenni, I am new here also. My program came really quick.
It's so exciting to take charge of your body and also to see it shrink so rapidly. I was wearing a size smaller pants in a week from my starting.
Did you get the new recipe book they have?

Hi Jennie:)

Welcome to Cohens and the forum.
Thanks for sharing alittle bit about yourself, we are quiet a close knit here and very supportive so if you have any thing you want to discuss even its not diet related we're here.
Take care.
Sam:)

Hi Jennie and welcome to the forum!

We were all newbies a few months ago, so you'll get the hang of things quickly :) Like Sam said, this forum is filled with amazing, supportive people who really don't mind if you have a bad day and rant a little, or if you're so happy you cant stop smiling :) The longer you're here you'll get to see that we are all in the same boat, we all have bad days and we all have really good days. Can't wait to see you tackle your journey too.

Hi Jenni

Welcome and good luck. Cohens is fantastic and it is so rewarding seeing your weight go down so fast, it keeps you motivated.

Everyone in here is very supportive and it is a great place to share your feeling and ups and downs. The support has really helped me get through a few bad days I have had.

Good luck again and I look forward to sharing your journey with you.

Jenniwren Diary - Well here we go Day 1

Hi,
First I would like to say thanks to Esthee Sal and Sam for your welcome
and encouragement.
Well my programme came on Monday I had a read and thought this is so
exciting, my new life begins, I actually joined last week at the clinic and was weighed with the numbers 96.3kg. I started losing weight Oct 07 and weighed
then at 106.2kg so I have lost 9.9kg, all to so for me so I have been looking
for something to get the weigh off and I know I have found it.

I have prepared myself for the change and watched what I ate last week,
so I was quite surprised when I went today to be weighed and measured to find I had lost 2.2kg, Wow was that great!

So here I go My Starting Weight is 94.1kg
Measurements:
Arm - 33
Chest - 127
Waist - 117
Hips - 124
Thigh - 96

Total = 497

My goal weight is 60kg, Dr Cohen's is 54-57kg

So I will see how I go when I get there if I would Like to go further.

I don't know where I read someone asking about crabs, crayfish and lobster
I ask today at clinic and they said if you know the seafood is freshly boiled
then it can be weighed when cooked as it is pretty close, I would probably
weigh a little under what we are allowed so I'm not over my allowance.

Cheers Jenni

Hi Jenni

How exciting you've got your plan and you've lost already....lol.
I wish you all the best and can't wait to see the weight drop off you.
All the best.

Sam:)

Hi Jenni, It's great that you lost that 2.2kg so fast. That should give you confidence in the program. Cohens is great! It's nice to see that, already you are thinking of helping others on the program & asking questions on their behalf( re the seafood ). You are a very welcome "newbie"! I think most of us get as good as we give in here & you will find it a very supportive forum. A big welcome from me, :grouphug:Cate.

Thanks

Hi
Just thought I would thank everyone for the welcome
I to will be enjoying crab and prawns over the Easter
weekend with stir-fry vegetables and then with a salad
I have always eaten well but obvious way too much and
with a touch of bourbon and coke(can) that was not a
good choice and I'm enjoying the plan so far, it also help
to start changing my eating the week before cutting the
bread and sugar down and then lastly my cup of tea on
Sat so I started eating my plan on Sunday morning so
by doing this I managed to lose 2.2kg before my first
weigh in, I also cleaned my kitchen out and made it my
new Cohen's kitchen, bagged my biscuits put a basket in
the fridge that holds my meals in which I use a peg to
keep the three meals (salad and vege) in snap lock bags
all together. I do the same with the meat in the freezer,
I also have on my bench my scales and a container with
the spices in them, all handy and within reach.
Hope you all have a lovely Easter
Cheers Jenni

Hi Jenni,

Congrats on already losing 2.2kg!! Cool! I must admit, before I got my plan I had all the goodies I knew I'd miss, so I actually gained almost 3kg in 2 weeks. Lots of pizza, ice cream etc. But know I don't even miss that way of eating.

You sound really motivated and its good to have your kitchen ready. It just makes the whole diet much easier. I'm sure you will be extremely successful on Cohens. Especially with your level of dedication.

Good luck for the coming week :)

Easter

Hi
Today is Easter Saturday, my brother arrived yesterday and bought
my little ones marshmallow bunnies, and a little choc rabbit each,
now that's tempting, but I just got up and had more water, we had
seafood(prawns, calamari and fish) and salad for Good Friday dinner,
so that was easy to deal with just when my bro decided to have my
much loved bourbon and cola in the can I had a little wimper, but
hey it will be there at the end and who knows I may not want it.

Finding the plan quite easy at the minute and love warm beef over
my chopped up salad, I have always cramped up eating beef so I
had avoided it, so I had a few tummy cramps to start now it's all
good.
Thanks Esthee and yes I am going to win this time, and the weight will
stay off.
Happy Easter
Cheers Jenni

Jenniwren Diary

Hi
Day6: This Easter Sunday, I have survived the easter thing with giving
my 2 girls three little bunnies and a stuffed rabbit each, I don't
and never have given them much junk, so that has helped me even
though I was slightly tempted. Not feeling the best yesterday and
today just a bit of a heady cold I think, myself and the girls had our
flu shots last Wednesday, could be that and am I cranky, and everything
is annoying me.
Oh well hopefully I will wake up feeling better in the morning. I haven't
deviated at all, haven't felt the need, food is good, variety is the key
I think. Everything weighed and bagged has made a big difference.
Sorry for the winge
Cheers Jenni

Jenni, Whinge away. We don't mind. Good for you getting through the week without deviating. Before long it will be second nature. It's the only way to go! Nothing tastes as good as slim will feel & chocolates etc will be there if you want them later. You will probably find, as I have that they don't taste as good as you remembered. I'm so pleased they are disappointing, as is icecream, bread, milk.... it's such a relief! Keep up the good work, xo Cate.
