Welcome!

Your BF has a typo.

As far as advice goes, I think I'd start with a goal. Do you have a goal in mind?

If you consider what you're trying to do as a lifestyle change instead of a "weight loss thing", you may have better luck. It's the difference between temporary and permanent. What you're trying to do is create permanent habits which enable to accomplish your goal permanently.

I'm probably not the best person to give this advice (since there are more knowledgeable people here) but I'll give it a shot. The first thing... what you're eating isn't necessarily the healthiest of foods. Cut out the pork, the mac and cheese, switch to a latte instead of a mocha, and in general try to eat more green veggies and stay away from processed or fatty foods.

In my opinion, the best way to lose bodyfat is to do more cardio. I'd setup weekly routine of strength training, core exercises, and cardio. If the elipitical machine is your preference, that will work, otherwise I'd say move to the treadmill.
