Sport Japanese steakhouse? Help

Sport Fitness
Hey everyone...I'm going on a date tonight with my girlfriend to a Japanese steakhouse. I'm going to get the habachi steak (filet mignon) with salad w/ lemon dressing and fried vegetables.

Is this even somewhat healthy? I think it's the best I can do lol

ask for the dressing on the side so you can control how much you consume.

Thanks for the reply malkore----so the dressing is the biggest concern? is it bad dressing? lol im shocked----so I'd be ok with the steak medium-rare and the vegetables? What about the soy sauce and seeds and everything included with the steak?

Would this be considered a cheat meal?

Your going on a date, the last thing you want is to look like is some anorexic wuss whos scared to touch his food. Just enjoy it and relax. Worry about nutrition when you are NOT on a date.

While I think it's hot when a guy tries to eat healthy it's a major turn off if he eats less than me. DO NOT EAT LESS THAN HER!

You guys are terrible. Except for Malkore, of course.

Just don't make a deal out of it..behave as if you're choosing to eat the way you do because that's what you enjoy. That makes you look confident, and decisive. It's not that hard to be sneakily healthy. I do it all the time. :D

Get the dressing on the side (or not at all..most people won't question a simple "I don't like dressing", even if it is a lie). As malkore said, get the vegetables steamed if possible, and that's about the best you can do..if the vegetables are steamed and you don't eat a hell of a lot of dressing, or any bread crumbs, then it's not really much of a cheat meal..unless you eat disgustingly large amounts.

I agree with calcium on not eating less than her..unless she's swedish (yes, that was a jibe at nordic women, get some), or she knows you eat 5-8 meals a day. (You do eat 5-8 meals a day, don't you?) Though, really..it's not a terribly big deal. Don't get all neurotic about it. Unless she's some kind of a yeti, you'll be probably be okay.

Or, the other option is to simply admit it's a cheat and just enjoy your steak meal how you like (as long as it fits in with your calorie total for the day).
