Most people have done these before but here's the gist of it.
You weigh once a week (choose whatever day you like best), and choose a goal for the end of the month.
Anyone can join at any time during the month!

June 26: 145.2
July 3: 144 (-1.2) :)
July 10: 143.4 (-0.6)
July 17: 142.4 (-1) :)
July 24: 141 (-1.4) :)
July 31: 142.6 (+1.6) :(

A lot of friday's in July. I'm going to try to get into the 130's so 139 is my goal for the month.

Sounds fun MysticRealm and I'm gonna be partaking.

Start: 135 - can't remember the date of this weigh-in but figure it's a good starting point
July 6: 132.0 (-3)

Aug 1:

Goal: 129 same as last month - hope to actually make it this time. Off to a good start but it's been a stressful week and I didn't each much for a few days so I could bounce up again in the next week.

Still haven't been doing any regular exercising but still working on that. Hoping this week is better and the hubby and I can get out and enjoy the weather.

At 1lb/wk I'd be at 126 for my trip in August - at 2lb/wk it's be 120 which is much closer to my goal. Here's hoping!

Good job Icy!
A smaller loss this week. I think my goal is still reachable if I have some decent losses yet.

A decent weigh in today considering I had a poor eating day yesterday. I'm still a little far away from my goal, I really need to buckle down if I want to make it!

A decent weigh in, but I'm doubtful that I will make my challenge goal. If I am lucky I will get into the 130's but not right to 139.0

Hello! How you can lose weight every week? Are you following a diet program all the time? My weight usually fluctuates around 135 lbs most of the time. I find difficulty to achieve a stable weight lose every week, however i try.

You just need to figure out how many calories you need to eat to lose weight at the rate you would like. Then weigh all your solid food, measure all your liquids and eat to that calorie goal. Though weight loss is never linear that is your best bet for losing weight steadily.

Thank you for your answer! I know that i just need a small amount of calories every day and a lot of exercising in order to lose weight. It is right i have to measure solid food because i can easily drift away by the amount of food i eat. As for the liquids it's only coffee the liquid with calories that i drink. However i think that the time during the day that you eat and consume calories has a great importance. Do you think so that during the evening and night the consuming of food should be very light with very small amount of daily calories? All your diet is based on calories measuring without avoiding some kind of food?

You don't need to exercise to lose weight as long as you are eating in a calorie deficit. However doing some exercise can help to create a deficit and is good for health.
I eat 75% of my calories in the evening and eat no breakfast. Meal timing does not affect weight loss. Only calories in vs. calories out.
I eat anything I want as long as I'm in a calorie deficit.
You also don't want to create too big of a deficit or you will lose a lot of muscle mass as you lose weight which won't make your body look as good even at a smaller weight.

Thank you for your answer! I follow your advice with calories measurement and eating in a calorie deficit and i see that i keep my progress for one day. I 'll continue for today to see if i 'll keep it again. I usually consume my food calories during afternoon. My goal is losing some lbs and see decrease of belly measurement. I think that more fat is stored at belly and the decrease of fat with losing weight it will have a decrease of belly measurement. I am a little confused about fat and muscle at the point of belly. How do you think that someone can disappear the extra pounds at the point of belly? Is it losing some pounds enough for disappearing belly's fat?

You cannot spot reduce. Fat comes off where it comes off. The only way you can lose belly fat is by eating in a deficit and allow the body to lose it in the order that it naturally does. I lose weight from my chest/shoulders/arms/neck/face first, then I lose below my chest after those fat stores are mostly gone. It's just the way the body works.
Keep at a deficit for 2-3 weeks before you give up or try anything else. a couple days is not going to be enough. If you need to adjust your numbers (cals consumed vs. cals burned) do that after the 2-3 weeks, and try that for a couple weeks before doing any more adjusting.
