Hi I am new here and I just wanted to know what everyone thinks of my workout plan and diet.
I am 23 years old I stand at 5'11 and weigh in at 175 pounds my waist is 33inches which leads me to believe I have 17% body fat I am trying to get that lean defined look so I know I need to get down to around 7-8% body fat..Here is how my day goes.
6:05am get up for work
6:45am at work in the break room I eat Oatmeal, and a few raw carrots before I go out to work
I drink as much water as possible in between
9:30am is my first break and I eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some more carrots
again I drink as much water as possible
12:00pm this is my second and last break at work I eat A can of tuna(straight out of the can), carrots, and drink muscle milk
Drink as much water again
3:00 I get off work after I have walked about 2-4miles throughout the course of the work day.
4:00 I eat another peanut butter and jelly sandwich
6:00 I eat fruit(bananas, apples, or grapes) some more carrots, and a protein bar
7:00 I workout everyday at 7 Sunday is rest day Mondays abs, legs, and cardio, Tuesdays weights and cardio, Wednesday abs, legs, and cardio, Thursday weights and cardio, Friday abs, legs, and cardio, Saturday weights and cardio.
8:00 I eat dinner
If I get hungry before bed I eat more fruit
My weight lifting includes Bicep Curls, Overhead Tricep presses, Shoulder shrugs, bent over rows.
Abs I do as many Sit ups, and crunches that my body will allow I don't even count
Legs I go on the steps, and do calve raises again I do as many as possible I don't count
My cardio consists of me running 1-2miles everyday except for sunday
Now what I was wondering is if my workout is going to be effective for me trying to get cut without getting too much bigger? I have been doing this for about a week now and I already feel more energized. 17% body fat is a bit much for me to have at the age of 23 I need to get my body in shape. When I was 18 I couldn't even pinch the fat on my body, but now I can pinch plenty and I have a gut. Also I workout at home and have no weight bench what would everyone suggest I do for my chest? Should I just put my feet on my bed and do push ups like that or do regular push ups?
